Homemade bread, cheese and butters

People sometimes ask about the payback on all of the upgrades we are doing to the house. These aren’t investments, they are about changing the way we live our lives to align with the beliefs that we have. If we don’t think it’s important enough to change the way we live, how can we expect other people to change, or for that matter the world to change.

  4. Thanks, and welcome. I appreciate the good thoughts coming in. We have great friends and neighbors that share our interests and projects. Thanks again for checking in.

  5. Awesome. This will make it easier for Todd and I to keep up with what you two are up to.

  6. This is exciting to be able to keep tabs on what you guys are up to. Lee Ann updates me from time to time. I’ve been thinking it would be cool if you were up for giving me and my kids (and maybe some other home schoolers) a tour of your set up. What do you think?

  7. We would be glad to have you! Just give us a call and let us know when your coming. We show people around all of the time.

  8. What fun. Great blog. Glad to be a part of your lives.

  9. Dear Mr. Scarlett,

I am in deep admiration to some of the urban sustainability efforts you and your family have made as are detailed here. However, I am more directly interested in your bike trailer. In one post, you seem to indicate it was made here in Missouri? Can you tell me where?

    • Hi there. It was made in Eugene Oregon at a place called Human Powered Machines. It is a great trailer that can haul a lot of stuff. Thanks for the compliments and we have even more projects for the future. Come back and visit. Rick

  10. Looks like big business is catching on. I hated to tell them that you beat them to it. (^8
