While we were in Colorado I got to see what our area could become with some pushing in the right direction. There are bicycles everywhere and if you don’t have one of your own you can use the bike share program in Denver and Boulder. There were so many bikes parked in some spots you couldn’t get around, and the farmer’s market was packed with bikes. Speaking of the Farmer’s Market it was one of the best I’ve ever seen, full of produce, breads, mushrooms, and they also had a food court full of prepared foods so you don’t just go to the market to shop you go to spend the morning. That’s what we need our market to do here, make it the place to be, families and friends meeting for lunch and shopping. That supports local producers, local food vendors, and the local economy circulates money the way it’s supposed to, not sucking it all out of the community.
